AWAKEN NOT LOVE BEFORE THE RIGHT MOMENT

Falling in love before the appropriate time may bring pain, heartbreak and regret. In order to win, we may have to woo and wait.

You can only appreciate a flower if you give it time to bloom. At the appropriate time, its petals will unfold, revealing the fullness of its beauty. To force it to open at the budding stage is useless and counterproductive.

So it is with love. Trying to hasten the pace of love and courtship in one’s eagerness to hear the peal of wedding bells might bring pain and regret.

Isn’t this why the Bible reminds us over and over again not to awaken love until the time is right? (Song of Songs 2:7, 3:5, 8:4).

In order to win, we have to woo and wait.
